Softball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of 10-14 players, very similar to baseball. The key differences are the the size of the ball, the way that the ball is pitched to the batter, and the size of the diamond. Interestingly, despite the name the ball is NOT soft - it is in fact harder than a baseball! Softball is a popular sport in Special Olympics.
Programs are available in Ajax and Oshawa on Monday and Thursday evenings starting in May.
Softball has ended for 2019. Enrollment for softball will be available online for registered athletes beginning May 1, 2020. Note that any enrollment after the end of the season (i.e. after August until May) is not for the next season - you must wait until May 1 to enroll online for the next season.
